Overview
Ethernet to Eight E1/T1 Mapper
EOPM8 (GC51508A)

    This EOPM-8E1/T1 is a LAN to WAN converter that provides conversion from 10/100M Ethernet to multiple E1/T1 frame. The EOPM-8E1/T1 provides 25M bits/s byte interface with 2.5M bits/s control bus (MDIO). The EOPM-8E1/T1 support standard based GFP Frame encapsulation/de-capsulation with (X 43 +1) scramble and optional FCS (32-bit CRC).
    The External 32-bit SDRAM interface is employed to buffer the burst FE traffic from MII. Maximum 2K-byte and minimum 64-byte Ethernet length are checked. The illegal FE packets such as CRC-error packet and runt/over- size packet can be optional dropped or pass through.
    The framer block will search E1 frame in either¬† CRC-4 multi-frame or non-CRC4 frame-mode. For T1 mode, it only support ESF mode. The EOPM-8E1/T1 provides alarm reports for LOS, LOF, AIS, RAI (Far-End Failure) and LOM (loss of CRC-4 Multi-frame). It also provides code-violation, frame-error, E-bit counters for performance monitoring.¬†
